"Name another steal-your-breath experience like the moment the 630-foot arch comes into view above the Mississippi River."

ST. LOUIS (KNOU) -  St. Louis has been named among ski resorts, tropical islands, picturesque National Parks and some of America's biggest cities as one of the "25 Best Places To Visit In 2020" according to Forbes.

The website put together the list and says St. Louis is "as vibrant, diverse and hip as it gets, and if that’s surprising, stop in next time you’re flying from New York to LA."

Travel writer Marcia DeSanctis had a lot of positive things to point out about the Gateway to the West, starting with the Gateway Arch Park renovations, new St. Louis Aquarium, booming start-up culture, St. Louis Blues Stanley Cup Championship, and great food and drink spots.

Some of the places she highlighted were the Botanical Gardens, Rooster, Blood and Sand, Polite Society, Clementine's Creamery, Nixta and Olio.

Another area of Missouri made Forbes' list too, The Ozarks. Maybe some new-found fame due to the Netflix series "Ozark," helped give the "majestic lakes" a national spotlight.
