(KNOU) — This news is not just a bunch of hocus pocus: Collider reports that the upcoming Disney+ streaming platform is working on a Hocus Pocus 2 with hopes of bringing back the movie's original stars.

A script is being worked on by former Workaholics writer-producer Jen D'Angelo with sources claiming she's been tasked with finding a way to entice Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy to sign on to the project.

It's still unknown, however, whether they'll return as main characters or just make cameos in the new project.

Back in 2017, it was reported that the Disney Channel would come out with a TV-movie remake that would not involve the 1993 movie's original stars.

Meanwhile, Parker gushed about Midler back when they were working on the family flick, "I think that Bette is nothing short of a genius. I really do. And she really is, truly, beyond amazingly talented, so professional and, like, a legend of sorts, you know?"
