ST. LOUIS (KNOU) - "Resting-bitch face" is a term used to describe someone whose expression makes them seem less approachable, or as if they are in a bad mood without them intending to do so.

While most don't mind their resting-bitch face, some women are willing to go extra lengths to get rid of this expression on their face by altering their resting face.

A woman named Hope Davis works as a medical equipment sales associate, so she was shocked to discover that she too "suffered" from resting-bitch face when her friends uploaded a bunch of pictures of her on social media.

“I was like, ‘Oh great, I look mad in the middle of the party,’” says the 42-year-old New Jersey resident. “I looked like a sourpuss" Davis told the New York Post.

Because of her job relying on her appearing approachable, Davis decided to undergo the surgery at a cost between $500 and $5,000, and the procedure taking about 10 to 20 minutes.

The procedure entails the injection of fillers from the lip’s corners to the jawline — and underneath their lips to plump and re-angle their mouths.

Before making the decision to "cure" your resting-bitch face, just remember that this procedure might make you more approachable ... which isn't always desired in all situations.
