Channing Tatum to Star in New Disney Comedy 'Bob the Musical'

January 23, 2020

Channing Tatum is taking on a new project, and no, it's not him showing his abs.

The actor will both star in and produce “Bob the Musical” for Disney, a comedy project that has been in the works for a decade, reported Variety.

Tatum will produce the project through his own company, Free Association, with partners Reid Carolin and Peter Kiernan. Tripp Vinson and Chris Bender are also slated to produce the show. A director for the film has not yet been announced.

The Disney comedy will focus on a man whose worst nightmare comes to reality when he wakes up trapped in a musical.

Back in 2018, Tatum announced that him and his wife Jenna Dewan Tatum were separating. At that time, the couple had been married for almost nine years.

The former couple met on the set of the "Step Up" movie in 2006. They wed back in 2009 and are parents to a daughter named Everly.
