Walking at Night

While being a college student can be a lot of fun, it’s important to also stay safe while having the time of your life. With that in mind, Elite Daily has compiled a list of four tips for walking home from all those parties you’re sure to check out. Here they are:

1. Know the resources your school provides. You can check your campus safety website, ask your RA, or stop by the student resource center to inquire about what's available for you.

2. Be alert. Be aware and move with purpose. That way, you can see any potential dangers and go with your gut instinct.

3. Use the buddy system. The more people there are, the less likely a stranger will come up to you.

4. Have a plan. If you are out drinking beforehand, or know you'll be out late, you should have a plan (Uber? A designated driver?) in mind to avoid walking home alone.
